Strengthening the Middle Class
Strengthening the Middle Class
High costs, from housing & healthcare to child care & college, are destabilizing the U.S. middle class. Millennials are not as economically secure as their parents were at this stage in their life. Drawing on his economics and business background, Jake has consistently offered policies, not talking points, to address the cost of living.
When Republicans were trying to use inflation for political points, Jake offered real solutions to get our economy back on track. Pointing to the cost of housing as the Bay State’s biggest problem, Jake has also consistently worked for pro-housing policies at all levels of government, from the Affordable Housing Credit Improvement Act and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act in Congress to the MBTA Communities Act on Beacon Hill.
As a Member of the Transportation & Infrastructure Committee, Jake has worked to improve supply chains and to pass the landmark Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and CHIPS & Science Act, which will improve the building blocks of the economy, from roads & bridges to science to workforce training.
